The damage number isn't the whole build

When you're deciding where to put your POE currency, these POE 3.29 builds offer very different amounts of detail. The Strength Stacker using Ghostly Artillery in Curse of the Allflame is presented as a strong choice for deep Delve and bosses. There's no damage total, equipment cost, or defensive breakdown, though. The Cold Damage over Time entry gives you even less: Luminary and Vaal Cold Snap appear in the title, but there's no explanation of how the character comes together. Neither entry gives you enough to make a numerical comparison with the Gladiator. That doesn't make either build weak. It just means you shouldn't fill in the missing details yourself.

A 20-Divine example isn't a 200-Divine character

The Gladiator has more to discuss, starting with the spending. A showcased setup costing roughly 20 Divines reportedly reached around 187M DPS. The player then committed approximately 200 Divines to their own character, with a conditional figure of 200M DPS. Those are separate investment points, not interchangeable promises. Previous bleed characters had reportedly managed around 40-50M DPS despite mirror-tier axes, so the appeal is understandable. Plans for Righteous Fire and Death's Oath builds were dropped in favor of retaliation. The wishlist was familiar: clear whole screens, avoid constant button presses, and still have enough damage for Uber fights. That's a useful way to judge this character, rather than treating its largest number as the entire story.

Retaliation makes you wait for your opening

Divine Retribution handles the main damage, with Doryani's Prototype and Replica of Nebulis doing the scaling work. Pact of Beidat reportedly pushes boss hits into the 23-30 range per cast. Greater Spell Cascade remains an unanswered question; extra overlap hasn't been established through extensive testing. Availability is the bigger catch. The Gladiator Ascendancy, No Forgiveness, and Runegraph of Time are described as providing a 90% chance not to consume the retaliation cooldown. You still need a block and the right cooldown result. The player estimates roughly 50/50 uptime during actual play and adjusts cooldown recovery in Path of Building to represent that estimate. A cast time below 0.29 seconds leaves room for three or more casts per second, but only when the skill is available.

Mapping is where the low-input idea takes shape

For ordinary packs, Cast When Stunned is linked to Penance Brand of Conduction and Shock Nova. Incoming hits trigger the spells, and the player reports screen-wide clearing without much manual use of Divine Retribution. That's the attraction: movement does most of the work until something needs direct attention. The defensive setup is less simple. Doryani's Prototype comes with the problem of negative lightning resistance, so this character aims to shift all incoming elemental damage to Fire and Chaos. Dawnbreaker, Watcher's Eye, and Divine Flesh supply part of that arrangement. Bound by Destiny and four Hunter-influenced items cover the remaining 10%. That last portion matters. Complete conversion is the claim being made, not something to assume while assembling an unfinished version.

Ground damage still needs a separate answer

Mageblood supplies movement speed, convenience, and the high maximum Fire Resistance needed for the converted damage. The reported effective health exceeds 1M against hits, but ground degeneration tells a different story. Righteous Fire adds spell damage, yet the player describes degeneration as lethal while it's active. Switching it off reportedly makes T17 Abomination, Uber Sirus, and Uber Exarch more comfortable. There's still no completed life-stacking alternative, and removing Lifetap remains unresolved. Before committing more POE orbs to this setup, it's worth separating the impressive hit defenses from the unfinished damage-over-time solution. The character has a clear appeal, especially for low-input mapping, but its conditional damage and remaining weaknesses deserve just as much attention as the headline DPS.
